Chief Mark Johns - Badge Number 071
Chief Johns started as a Patrolman with the Ticonderoga Police Department on February 23rd, 1998. Johns graduated the Basic Course for Police Officers from the Zone 9 Police Academy in Plattsburgh, NY on July 3rd, 1998. Since then he has attended several training courses including Accident Reconstruction, Advanced Accident Reconstruction and Course in Police Supervision as well as numerous 1 to 4 day schools and training courses over the years. Chief Johns was promoted to Sergeant in 2006 and then to Chief of Police in 2009. Johns is a graduate of Ticonderoga High School and studied at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY where he was also employed as a Security Officer.
Sergeant Michael LaVallie - Badge Number 080
Sergeant LaVallie began as a Patrolman in April, 2004. He graduated the Zone 9 Police Academy in Plattsburgh, New York on August 6th, 2004. Since then, LaVallie has obtained several New York State Certifications including Police General Topics Instructor, Handling of the Animal Cruelty Case, Police Field Training Officer, Police Supervision, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Incident Command System 100, 200, 700 and Intermediate 300, Child Passenger Safety Seat Certification, Radar/Lidar Operator, Breath Analysis Operator as well as many other courses to maintain Police Officer status in the State of New York. LaVallie was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in November of 2008. He is a 1999 graduate of Ticonderoga High School and holds an Associates Degree in Fire Science from New Hampshire Community Technical College in Laconia, New Hampshire.
Investigator Daniel LaFrance - Badge Number 082
Investigator LaFrance began as a Patrolman in April, 2004. He graduated the Zone 9 Police Adacemy in Plattsburgh, NY, with Sergeant LaVallie, on August 6th, 2004. LaFrance attended the Basic Criminal Investigation course and now handles most of the intense investigative cases within the department.
Patrolman Dale Quesnel - Badge Number 085
Patrolman Quesnel graduated the Zone 5 Police Academy on January 3rd, 2008. He began as a part time officer in December of 2006. Since then Patrolman Quesnel has obtained certifications in Radar/Lidar Operator and Breath Analysis Operator. Patrolman Quesnel holds a certificate for attending a Street Survival seminar at the Vermont State Police Academy in 2009. Quesnel is also the President of the Police Benevolent Association.

Ptlm. Mascarenas was a lateral transfer from the Essex County Sheriff's Department.
Patrolman Mark Belden - Badge Number 087
Patrolman Belden graduated at the top of his class from the Zone 9 Police Academy on July 18th, 2008. He began his career as an Essex County Sheriff's Deputy and started part time with the Ticonderoga Police Department in March 2009 and became full time in August of 2009. He is a 1995 graduate of Ticonderoga High School.
Patrolman Irven Fleury - Badge Number 068
Patrolman Fleury started at the Ticonderoga Police Department as a part timer in 1978. He is a graduate of the Plattsburgh Part Time Police Academy. He has spent his entire police career as a part time patrolman. He worked for Verizon for 33 years until his retirement in 2003. Patrolman Fleury can be found on any given Wednesday as the court officer for the Town of Ticonderoga Justice Court. He graduated Ticonderoga High School in 1966. He spent 8 years in the New York Army National Guard from 1967 to 1975 as a sergeant in a mortar platoon after attending basic training in Fort Campbell, KY and advanced training at Fort Sill, OK.
Patrolman R. Steven Yaw - Badge Number 065
Ptlm. Yaw served a full 20 years as a full time police officer for the department. He now works part time.
Patrolman Thomas Ruby - Badge Number 081
Patrolman Ruby is a 1999 graduate of the Zone 5 Police Academy in Schenectady, NY. He is Radar/Lidar certified and has attended numerous 1 to 4 day schools including Highway Drug Interdiction and Multi-jurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training. Patrolman Ruby also works part time for the Village of Whitehall Police Department in Whitehall, NY.
Records Clerk Ron Drinkwine - Badge Number 030
Ron Drinkwine is a retiree from International Paper Company. He works part time as a records clerk for the department.
